About Ananda Massage

At Ananda Massage, every session begins with a conversation. Before your massage, Caith takes time to listen to how you're feeling, what's happening in your body and mind, and what you'd like to get out of your session. Whether you're recovering from an injury, managing a chronic issue, navigating stress, or simply seeking time to rest and recover, your massage is thoughtfully tailored to your unique needs.

Drawing on more than two decades of experience, Caith blends therapeutic massage with restorative elements such as red light therapy, Theragun percussion therapy, hot stones, cupping, aromatherapy, magnesium care, hot towels, and a nourishing elixir bar. Every treatment is designed to help active bodies release tension, recover more fully, and return to a greater sense of balance and ease.

Rather than following a predetermined routine, each session evolves in the moment. Guided by what your body is communicating that day, Caith combines experience, intuition, and technique to create a treatment that supports your goals and delivers the care you need most. Throughout the massage, she checks in to ensure you're comfortable and receiving the experience you're looking for. Afterward, there is time to discuss how the session felt, answer questions, and explore simple recommendations, stretches, or self-care practices that can help extend the benefits of your treatment. Healing doesn't stop when you leave the treatment room. A follow-up call the next day provides an opportunity to check in, answer any questions, and support the continued integration of the work.

At its heart, Ananda Massage is about creating a space where you feel heard, cared for, and supported in your overall well-being so you can move through life feeling healthier, more balanced, and more connected to self.

About Caith

Caith Norton, LMT, moved to Crested Butte in 1987 at the age of 19 and instantly knew she had found home. Nearly four decades later, the mountains, trails, lakes, and community of the Gunnison Valley continue to inspire her work and her life.

After graduating from Western Colorado University in Gunnison, Caith joined the Peace Corps and spent 2 1⁄2 years living and serving in Nepal. When her service ended, she backpacked solo through Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Europe. Those experiences fostered a deep appreciation for different cultures, human connection, and the many ways people seek healing and well-being.

Back in Crested Butte, Caith graduated from and later taught at MountainHeart Massage School before opening Ananda Massage in 2003. Over the next 16 years, she built a thriving practice by combining therapeutic massage with her training in yoga, wellness coaching, and her firsthand understanding of the active mountain lifestyle.

From 2019 - 2025, she shifted into global wellness leadership with a luxury adventure travel company, overseeing wellness operations across multiple international locations.

Now, Caith is returning to her roots and reopening Ananda Massage - refocusing on the work she values most: one-on-one care that helps people feel better, move with ease, and reconnect with their bodies.

Every massage is thoughtfully tailored to the individual. Whether you're recovering from a big day in the mountains, managing chronic tension, healing from injury, navigating work-related pain, or simply needing time to slow down and reconnect, Caith brings experience, intuition, and a caring touch to every session.

When she's not helping people on the massage table, you'll likely find her on the trails, swimming in high alpine lakes, on a yoga mat, or hanging with her friends and dog, Dune. As a longtime local, she feels grateful to share her passion for health, healing, and well-being with the community she has called home for so many years.
